"I enjoy looking for hidden places which reveal themselves only to the passionate stroller and I try to describe the beauty and the serenity of these landscapes."
Observing nature in all its different forms, from the panoramic landscape to the undergrowth and brooks, is a great source of inspiration, which I like. I enjoy looking for hidden places which reveal themselves only to the passionate stroller and I try to describe the beauty and the serenity of these landscapes. Thanks to the spontaneity and the expressiveness of painting, I try to capture the essence of the subject: the sparkling of the light and the contrasts of vivid tonalities. I try to borrow the intensity from chromatic values and to render them very stimulating by portraying the reality of a vision which is made of the brightness of light. The exaltation of the range of colours and contrasts define the colour as a value of expression rather than of representation. Frequently, the diagonally treated composition tends to illustrate a vivid dynamic of the landscape; it isn't approached from the front, but in a way to make it original. This sought-after rhythm which you often find in photographic views allows to treat urban subjects too, like the roofs of Paris. I am also interested in working in different ways on the expressive qualities of the technique of different materials (the smoothness of unctuous paint or the splashes of more liquid paint).
